Morning (7:30 AM - 12:30 PM): Departure & Scenic Drive

After an early breakfast, your professional safari driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi.

Begin the scenic drive south towards Amboseli. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours, depending on traffic.

You'll pass through typical Kenyan countryside and Maasai towns, offering a glimpse of local life.

Enjoy views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting) as you approach the park.

Lunch (1:00 PM): Check-in & Lunch at Your Lodge/Camp

Arrive at your chosen lodge or tented camp on the outskirts or inside the park.

Complete the check-in process and enjoy a delicious lunch while acclimatizing to the safari atmosphere.

Afternoon (4:00 PM - 6:30 PM): First Game Drive

Embark on your first thrilling game drive in Amboseli National Park.

The afternoon light is perfect for photography. Your guide will focus on finding wildlife, with a special emphasis on Amboseli's famous large-tusked elephants.

You're also likely to see zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and various antelope species. Keep an eye out for predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.

Evening: Dinner & Overnight

Return to your accommodation as the sun sets.

Morning (6:30 AM - 11:00 AM): Sunrise & Kilimanjaro Views Game Drive

An early start is rewarded with the best wildlife activity and the clearest views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The sun rising behind the mountain, illuminating its snow-capped peak, is a truly unforgettable sight.

This is the best time to see predators and capture iconic photos of elephants with Kilimanjaro in the background.

Enjoy a packed "bush breakfast" at a scenic spot within the park.

Mid-day (11:00 AM - 4:00 PM): Relaxation & Lodge Time

Return to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation.

Take a siesta, swim in the pool (most lodges have one), or simply enjoy the view from your balcony while watching animals come to a nearby waterhole.

Afternoon (4:00 PM - 6:30 PM): Exploring the Swamps & Observation Hill

Head out for another game drive, this time focusing on the park's permanent swamps (Enkongo Narok, Olokenya).

These swamps are fed by the underground rivers from Kilimanjaro and are a hub of activity. You'll see elephants wallowing, hippos submerged, and a plethora of birdlife, including pelicans and kingfishers.

Visit Observation Hill for a panoramic 360-degree view of the entire park, the swamps, and the plains.

Evening: Sundowners & Dinner

Enjoy a classic safari "sundowner" (a drink as the sun sets) before heading back to your accommodation.

Morning (6:30 AM - 10:00 AM): Final Game Drive & En-route Game Viewing

After an early breakfast, check out of your room.

Embark on a final en-route game drive as you slowly make your way towards the park exit. This is your last chance to spot any animals you may have missed.

Mid-Morning (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM): Optional Maasai Village Visit

Just outside the park, you have the option to visit an authentic Maasai village (at an additional cost, usually $20-$30 per person).

This is a fascinating cultural experience where you can learn about their traditional way of life, dances, crafts, and unique homesteads.

Late Morning to Afternoon (11:30 AM - 4:00 PM): Return Journey

Begin the drive back to Nairobi.
