Safari Itinerary

  • Afternoon: Your safari adventure begins with a welcome lunch in Arusha. Afterwards, we drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its massive elephant herds and ancient, towering baobab trees.

  • Evening: Embark on your first game drive, witnessing the park come alive in the golden afternoon light. Look for elephants, lions, and myriad other animals gathering along the Tarangire River.

  • Full Day: Today is dedicated to exploring the diverse ecosystems of Tarangire. Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives, searching for its unique inhabitants like the fringe-eared oryx, the graceful gerenuk, and elusive leopards. The park is a birdwatcher's paradise and a photographer's dream, especially with its iconic baobab silhouettes against the setting sun.

  • Afternoon: Set up camp and enjoy a relaxed afternoon of bird watching. The lakeshore meadows are home to a variety of birdlife and mammals. This is a day for soaking in the dramatic scenery and tranquility away from the main tourist trail.

  • Morning: A pre-dawn start for a truly unique experience. We venture out to meet the Hadzabe Tribe, one of the last true hunter-gatherer societies on Earth. Accompany the men on a traditional hunt, an unforgettable glimpse into an ancient way of life.

  • Mid-Morning: Visit the Datoga Tribe, skilled blacksmiths and pastoralists. Witness their craft of creating tools and jewelry from scrap metal and learn about their culture.

  • Afternoon: After lunch at camp, we drive to the fertile highlands of Karatu for a night at a comfortable lodge, a chance to reflect on the profound cultural encounters of the day.

  • Full Day: Safari Highlight! Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. It is your best chance to see the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino, all in one place.

  • Lunch: A memorable picnic lunch on the crater floor by the hippo pool.

  • Evening: Ascend back to your campsite on the rim, filled with the day's incredible memories.

  • Morning: After a final camp breakfast, we break down our camp for the last time and begin the scenic drive back to Arusha.
